Rose English, ORLAN und Martha Rosler waren Teil der legendären Ausstellung Kunst mit Eigen-Sinn: Internationale Ausstellung aktueller Kunst von Frauen. Gezeigt wurde sie 1985 im ehemaligen Museum des 20. Jahrhunderts – dem heutigen Belvedere 21. Diese historische Ausstellung ist Ausgangspunkt für eine umfangreiche feministische Ausstellung, die im Herbst 2026 mit dem Titel Feminist Futures Forever zu sehen sein wird. Die drei Künstlerinnen werden dabei vertreten sein.
An dem Gespräch werden Rose English und ORLAN teilnehmen und die Kunstwerke der jeweils anderen kommentieren und ihre Gedanken über feministische Kunst vor vierzig Jahren, heute und in Zukunft teilen.
Die Veranstaltung findet in englischer Sprache statt.
Rose English, ORLAN and Martha Rosler took part in the iconic exhibition Kunst mit Eigen-Sinn: Internationale Ausstellung aktueller Kunst von Frauen (Art with a Mind of Its Own: International Exhibition of Contemporary Art by Women). It was held in 1985 at the former Museum of the 20th Century which is now the Belvedere 21. The historic exhibition is a point of departure for an extensive feminist exhibition which will take place in fall 2026 carrying the title Feminist Futures Forever. The three artists will be part of this exhibition.
Rose English and ORLAN will participate in the talk. They will comment on each other’s artworks and share their thoughts about feminist art making forty years ago, today and in the future.
The event will be held in English.
